The Urinary Tract

The Urinary Tract play an important part in maintaining the health of your body as it carries away urine from the kidneys-  The Urinary Tract is made up of Kidneys, the Ureter, the Bladder, and the Urethra.

The urinary tract is made up of the kidneys, ureter, bladder & urethra. They work together to remove waste products from the body.

As the kidney filters blood urine is formed which collects in the kidneys and runs through the Ureter to be stored in the bladder until urination. During urination the urine exits the bladder through the Urethra.

The urinary tract is made up of the kidneys, ureter, bladder & urethra. They work together to remove waste products from the body.

Urinary Tract Infection

A urinary tract infection usually begins when bacteria enters the Urethra and an infection occurs. When the Urinary Tract is infected this results in inflammation.

Inflammation of the urethra walls or bladder is called a lower UTI.

If a lower urinary tract infection proceeds up into the Ureter or Kidneys then this is called an upper UTI. An upper UTI can be very serious.
